Red Bull for your Attitude. How Do You #Bangitout?
Taglines, attitudes and Twitter. @Garyvee has “Crush it” P. Diddy had his “Lock In” movement. LizMoney now has #Bangitout. What is it? It’s an attitude, a way to approach every task you may have to tackle. Just go after what you want with all you have.
How did this come about? I was asked to speak at our local NetSquared meeting in New Orleans to talk about the upcoming BarCampNOLA event. As I was explaining the unstructured nature of BarCamp; the “un-conference” and that some presentations are inspired right there, by a group of people that have just met, spark a presentation on the spot and “Bang it out!”
The phrase has since been picked up and tweeted out, starting with other members of Net2NO, particularly, Chris Boudy and ChampSuperstar the New Orleans community digs it and is a Twitter hashtag.
So whatever your day brings you, tackle it with gusto and passion. We all feel like there’s not enough time in the day to do all the things we want or need to do, but if you harness your passion and Bang It Out, time flies and you’ll get more done than you thought you ever could!
So, take the tag to your Twitter stream and adjust your attitude towards life. Whatever you do, get excited about it! Tap into your passion and #Bangitout! Encourage others to rock their day, congratulate someone who is having a great day, bring the #Bangitout attitude to everyone you encounter. It will inspire them, recharge them, maybe even make them laugh.
And that’s what I like to hear.
Tell me. How do YOU #Bangitout? @LizMoney on Twitter, leave me a comment, or drop me an e at lizmoney.media@gmail.com

Dell + Android?
Well what’s this? Dell is working on a gadget that will be comprable to Apple’s iPod Touch…and it’s going to run Android? This is kind of interesting. According to cnet.com:
The device is considered part of a new category of gadgets called mobile Internet devices, or MIDs, which are designed to fit into the market between a mobile phone and a laptop or Netbook computer. The device could go on sale as early as the second half of 2009, according to the Wall Street Journal’s sources.
Dell supposedly started working on the new device about a year ago as a way to compete against Apple’s iPod business. The Journal also cited an unnamed source who said that Dell has considered selling the new Internet device through a cell phone carrier. Dell and other computer makers such as Hewlett-Packard already sell their Netbooks through cell phone operators
Earlier this year, there was also a rumor that Dell was working on a smartphone, and also testing Android for use as the operating system on their netbooks.

Put Your Name to the Face. FaceBook Opens Up Vanity URLs.
Up until now, if you are on Facebook, you may have noticed that your profile url ends in a crazy set of numbers. Making it somewhat unwieldy if you wanted to send someone your profile link. There was a workaround introduced a few months ago, where you could get a “profile.to/username” and it would forward it to your profile.
Then…the news broke. Facebook is going to allow everyone to have a custom URL. The countdown was on. Literally. There was a countdown to your URL on Friday night that auto refreshed when it was time to pick your name. Yes. I waited and watched the countdown with my Twitterstream and snagged my custom URL.
I’m not the only one who jumped on this. According to Mashable.com, “200,000 usernames have been registered in 3 minutes (one of them was me, hee) and then 1,000,000 usernames in first hour.” That’s a lot of peeps. If you haven’t snagged yours yet, you can go to http://www.facebook.com/username/. Go Get you Some.

Easter Egg! Konami Code Lives. Unlock the Developer Mode on the Palm Pre
Easter Egg for the Palm Pre- and this is good. Remember the old Konami code? Type that into your Palm Pre and it unlocks the Developer Mode. Just type it all out on the keyboard, and it will bring up a new card and a switch to turn on the Dev mode. Reset your Pre and you’ve got the Mojo SDK.
Anything with the Konami code rocks. Dig it.

What To Expect from Apple? Big Announcements from Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference
So it’s Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference this week, and everyone is awaiting what the biiiig announcement will be, namely, new iPhones?
With the big 3.0 OS release being so comprehensive, it’s only natural that there are new iPhone models in the works. And the Palm Pre’s release date suspiciously moved to the weekend right before Apples WWDC? Come on. SOMETHING is up, right?
Well, here’s a roundup of what we would like and hope to hear at the conference concerning new iPhones and new iPhone models:
Most likely new iPhone features:
Faster processor.
More storage capacity.
Faster Internet speeds.
Video recording.
Better camera.
Digital compass.
More iPhone 3.0 software features, such as video editing, voice controls, laptop tethering, and potentially a new home screen that’s better designed for organizing and launching dozens of apps. The phone will likely look very much like the current iPhone 3G. Some reports suggest a matte, rubbery back. But many “leaked” photos are fake. Then there’s a slew of other potential features, some of which Apple could unveil Monday, too, such as a front-facing camera for video chat, background app processing, or multi-colored iPhones. But those are relatively unlikely.
Just as important: What Apple announces regarding AT&T’s iPhone service plans. Specifically, if AT&T will offer some sort of entry-level iPhone plan that is less than $70/month, or if it will at least make its plans a better deal by including unlimited text messaging. (Sprint is doing this for the Palm Pre.) The iPhone itself is still too expensive for many buyers. And the service plan is, too.
And about pricing: It makes sense that Apple would keep its new, premium iPhones at the $199/$299 price levels. But it seems that a cheaper iPhone, perhaps will less storage or a few missing components, could show up for $99 or $149.
And other rumors swirling around the tubes include Video editing on the iPhone, a family of models so that you can find just the right size for you, FM transmittals so that you can transmit to other audio devices, Siruis, will ATT introduce tiered pricing?
And Steve Jobs is back on the scene. There must be good things to come, right?
Stay tuned, L$ will be peepin in on all the live blogging and will report back. fo’ sho’

Sony Ericsson Yari and Aino. Will These Come to the States?
Sony Ericsson adds Yari and Aino to its multimedia line
I’m generally not a fan of Sony Products, but the Ericsson stuff is so sexxy. Check on these two mulitmedia devices that are coming out …somewhere else other than the States – from Engadget mobile:
he Yari slider (pictured left) is being billed as a gaming device, featuring gesture-controlled actions in the same vein as the Wii (and for the record, that’s Sony Ericsson’s comparison as much as it is ours). It features a 2.4-inch display, GPS, and support for the company’s PlayNow services; it’ll be available in the fourth quarter for about €400 ($558) unlocked. Next up, the Aino takes some cues from the Satio with a relatively large 3-inch touchscreen — but also tosses in a numeric slider for good measure. It’s got an 8.1 megapixel cam, Sony Remote Play support, GPS, HSPA, and a scratch-resistant mineral glass display; it’ll be ready to rock in the same timeframe as the Yari in black and white, though we don’t have pricing stats just yet — needless to say, it’ll be more than the Yari.

LizMoney Loves her some NYC, The 404, and F-Units.
I’ve been in NYC this whole past week, and I have had a hugely awesome time. I was my sister’s Bridal Roadie, I got to guest spot on my favorite cnet.com podcast, The 404 where I had SO much fun with the guys. Then I caught up with an old classmate of mine, Scotty B. who heads up my new favorite band, F-Units.
I have big hairs and am in my pj’s. I had to talk just a bit about my trip and the great time I had. I ‘ll be back. Soon.

Chris Pirillo Breaks it Down Geek Style: The Smokey Eye
We all know how much I love me some Chris Pirillo. I dig his scene and have been a member of his geeks.pirillo.com community for quite some time now. I was very lucky to have been asked by him to do a video for his youtube channel and his community. Somethin for the girl geeks. Makeup. The Smokey Eye. So I did the video, had a blast doing it, and I hope that I was able to get some peeps to try it out.
For a great breakdown of the application, Chris included it on his blog [full story here Smokey Eyes | Chris Pirillo] and here’s an excerpt:
“Liz Money was kind enough to submit a video for me to add to our beauty tips and tricks collection. Granted, this particular video isn’t geared towards the guys. But hey! There are a heck of a lot of girl Geeks, as well! All you dudes, just chill and skip this one. Ladies – pay attention and learn how to get those sexy, smokey eyes.
Apparently you need several different fluff brushes in order to put all of this goop on! Make sure you have angled ones, and many different sizes. The particular palette she’s using has the colors already laid out for you. It tells you what color goes where on your eyes!! I guess they also are good for all skin tones, and day or night wear.
The challenging part is doing the crease… with the darkest color. Using a round brush, press it into the color again to get the right amount of pigment. It goes right where your lid creases. This creates depth, and shadowing. The trick with the smokey eyes is to blend a ton, so you don’t look stripey.
If you want to be more dramatic, you can line your lower lashline as well. You’re going to line the inside rim of your lower lashline. It sounds scary, but apparently it’s not! It looks crazy Liz – you’re right about that! But you’re right again when you say it makes your eyes pop.
So there you have it! Now when you’re wanting to look especially gorgeous for us Geeky dudes, you know what to do! Thanks again, Liz!”
Thanks for the opportunity to do this for you, homie!
